Large Displays

When plasma technology came alive, large screens became a reality. Nowadays even screens of 61” are possible. In a later stage also LCD-monitors came available as large screen solutions.

Both technologies are great looking and space saving. These screens serve up bold, bright, colorful pictures, with a wide viewing angle and high levels of resolution which results in an optimum picture quality with very good clarity and sharp contrast and flicker free viewing applications.

Large screens are conquering the world. At bus- and trainstations, airports, in government buildings, schools and companies as information/public displays and in shops as advertisement displays (narrowcasting).

If you need large screen displays you first have to look to your application and the content you want to show. If this is clear you can choose the technology you need. If you have a lot of static information it is better to choose for a LCD-screen because plasma has the disadvantage that it will have a burn-in effect when you have most of the time the same information.

The advantages of large screens are in the meantime well known:

• Less use of energy (LCD less then plasma)
• Less heat dissipation (LCD less then plasma)
• Superb screen quality
• Less weight (LCD less then plasma)
