Description

The WEY USB Remote is a unique product that incorporates WEY's most modern USB emulation combined with high speed data transmission technology.
The WEY USB Remote allows users to enjoy the benefits of USB technology beyond the desktop. The WEY USB Remote breaks the five meter distance barrier for the connection of USB peripheral devices.
USB devices can now be located up to 10 kilometres (fibre) and 130m (TwP) from the host PC.
In addition, WEY USB Remote can supply power to the USB devices and provide a fully capable USB interface. All that is required is a USB-capable PC and a fibre optic cable or a single CAT6 cable between the local and remote locations.

Maximum distance TwP Cable
The Transmitter and Receiver units are interconnected by up to 130 meters of twisted pair cable (minimum CAT6).
Fibre Optic Cable
The Transmitter and Receiver units are interconnected by up to 10 kilometres of fibre cable.
Multi mode: Up to 500m on MMF
Single mode: Up to 10km on SMF

Power Handling
Certain types of USB devices do not require individual power supplies as they are powered from the bus itself. Bus-powered devices are divided into low and high power categories.
The WEY USB Remote can supply all of the power required for three high power devices.
